Athletics

With intramural and interscholastic options, our athletics program lets students get active, embrace new challenges, and be part of a team.

Our Philosophy

By engaging in sports, our students build physical prowess and develop essential mental and emotional skills. Our athletics program fosters teamwork, achievement, balance, and integrity and instills lifelong passions for exercise, sports, and games in the process.

Independence & Guidance

With a broad spectrum of offerings, CA’s athletics program can meet every interest. We have 30 interscholastic teams, most of which compete in the Eastern Independent League (EIL). Under the guidance of our seasoned coaching staff and experienced athletics administrators, our programs enjoy success within the league as well as at the New England Preparatory School Athletic Council (NEPSAC) championships each year. Our accomplished staff provide a positive experience for all students and have the skills to prepare those who aspire to compete at the collegiate level for success. CA also offers dynamic P.E. and intramural programs that encourage fitness by making it fun.

Athletic Campus

Facilities

At CA, we practice and compete in exceptional indoor and outdoor facilities, including the Moriarty Athletic Campus. Our varsity teams focus on skills refinement and competition, and our JV, intramural, and P.E. offerings center on skills development and participation.

“My favorite activity at CA is track, which I discovered after coming here. I compete on the varsity team in the 100‑meter, 200‑meter, and the 4×100‑meter girls relay, and I’m currently training for field events like the long jump. While I enjoy my individual events, being part of the relay team is especially meaningful to me. The support we give each other is unmatched, and knowing my teammates rely on me just as much as I rely on them pushes me to give my best every time.â€

“This past basketball season, a moment that made me feel extremely at home in CA was during our end of season team dinner. During this shared meal, I looked around and reflected on the sense of brotherhood my teammates and I had fostered during our time together. My peers had always stuck together and supported another. To conclude this dinner, our senior captains shared a speech about their time and growth on the team, and both shed tears as they spoke. This reveals how comfortable and expressive the small community within CA was, and I felt extremely grateful to be valued and seen by my captains.
